Job responsibilities are subject to change based upon alignment of processes within this developing organization.Job DescriptionSummary of Role:We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to be part of the General Accounting team within the Raytheon Technologies Enterprise Services organization in Farmington, CT. This person will be part of a newly formed team which will be primarily supporting Pratt & Whitney's F135 International Operations. The Senior Associate role will be responsible for managing disbursements and other transactional work.Responsibilities:

• Monthly journal entries, closing activities and account reconciliations
• Prepare voucher packages for disbursements to vendors
• Review, verify and approve documentation provided by a third party accounting service provider
• Participate in process improvement activities related to all central accounting functions as required, i.e. journal entry automation, creating standard processes and other finance transformation initiatives
• Contribute to ES by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department
• Provide Pratt & Whitney with excellent customer service and support as ES onboards a new scope of workRequired Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting or related field
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Familiarity with US GAAP Accounting
  • Ability to obtain Raytheon sponsored security clearance
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief levels of management
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills
  • Analytical, planning and organizational skills to problem solve and recommend comprehensive solutions
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situationsDesired Skills:
    • Knowledge of or experience with current finance and accounting systems and month end close procedures
    • Prior experience with disbursement processes is a plus
    • Experience in SAP and/or HFM is a plusLocation:
