      As the Chief Audit Executive for CVS Health, you will provide strategic leadership and oversee the timely delivery of high-quality audit services and oversee the development of the enterprise's annual audit plan, including an assessment of business and compliance risks.

      Reporting to the EVP & Chief Compliance Officer and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, the Vice President, Internal Audit, Chief Audit Executive leads a team of approximately 200 audit professionals aligned to all business units and functions of the enterprise. This role involves a high degree of relationship building with many of the Company's key senior leaders as well as with the Board of Director's Audit Committee.


      Key Responsibilities:
      --- Lead the development of a strategic, risk-based audit plan for multiple business areas.
      --- Anticipate and understand enterprise risks, business initiatives, and business challenges in order to provide key strategic leadership and direction setting including talent development, talent management, and an appropriately risk based audit plan.
      --- Set the strategic direction for the Internal Audit team, including audit methodology and processes for the department.
      --- Accountable to ensure the successful delivery of the portfolio of assurance services including: the delivery of the risk-based audit plan, Sarbanes-Oxley testing, System and Organization Control reporting processes, Model Audit Rule, and Lease auditing program.
      --- Review the audit issues and reports for each assigned project to ensure that they effectively communicate the purpose of the project and the strategic impact of conclusions reached in a manner appropriate for Executive Management of the enterprise, the Board and the Audit Committee.
      --- Stay abreast of leading practices and tools to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the team.
      --- Provide oversight support to Audit leadership team by leading the development of the scope, objectives of work activities.
      --- Recruit, develop and retain high performing, high quality internal audit talent that is respected by business partners.
      --- Perform detailed reviews of audit reports to ensure audits are conducted according to the Internal Audit standards.
      --- Provide timely and accurate input to Audit Committee, Compliance Committee and Executive Management reports.
      --- Work with business leaders to ensure completion of corrective actions to address compliance concerns identified during audits.
      --- Lead by example, demonstrate personal integrity and adherence to the CVS Health code of conduct, appreciate diversity and promote teamwork on all activities.
      --- Monitor and coordinate activities with other internal and external partners (compliance, legal, external auditors and consultants, etc.).

      Locations - Woonsocket, RI or Hartford, CT or Northbrook, IL or another Office Location

      Required Qualifications
      --- 15+ years experience in audit, accounting, finance for a large publicly traded company
      --- Experience in Healthcare, Pharmacy, PBM or other highly regulated industry
      --- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience presenting to Senior executives / Board of Directors
      --- Experience leading large, high performing teams
      --- Ability to understand enterprise risk, challenges, and business initiatives in order to provide key strategic leadership in developing an appropriate risk-based audit plan
      --- Anticipates business changes and adjusts strategies and plans to meet shifting priorities
      --- Ability to impact and influence decision making and outcomes
      --- Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
      --- Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements
      --- Experience using automation and analytics to drive innovation
      --- Deep experience in Audit and Financial controls
      --- Financial acumen
      --- Prior experience in strategizing, planning and developing business compliant audit project plans
      --- Travel - 15-20%

      Preferred Qualifications
      --- Audit experience in PBM, Pharmacy and Retail, Healthcare organizations
      --- Healthcare strongly preferred

      Education
      --- Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited four-year college or university
      --- Accounting, Finance or Information Technology preferred. -Advanced degree preferred.
      --- Professional designations (i.e. CPA, CIA, CISA) preferred
