Primary Responsibilities:
This position supports Global Solutions, a division of
UnitedHealthcare Ancillary & Individual
Pricing medical, dental and vision products and maintain US
regulatory compliance
Modify/run/create complex pricing programs
Prepare and sign rate filings for state regulatory approvals
Support actuarial disciplines in benefit pricing, retention
pricing, reinsurance, and special projects that involve risk
management
Leverage actuarial knowledge of the broader UHG actuarial functions
to build International actuarial disciplines of Global
Solutions
Analyze and interpret the key drivers of benefit, risk pricing and
health care trends
Support and develop pricing methodologies and assumptions
Develop new rates and prepare cost estimates
Conduct and evaluate studies on pricing, utilization, and health
care costs
Determine the impact on premiums and health product proposals
Design and run complex data programs
Perform quantitative analysis of actuarial, financial, utilization
and claims costs data - support recommendations to help leaders
make decisions

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Associate of the Society of Actuaries or Fellow of the Society of
Actuaries designation
4+ years of Actuarial experience
Expertise working with formulas, calculations, charts, graphs in MS
Excel
Ability to communicate complex information into less complex
terms
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working health care industry, and international
benefits
Basic level of proficiency with SAS (Statistical Analysis System)
and/or SQL (Structured Query Language)

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The Salary range
for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The Salary range for
Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based
on several factors including but not limited to education, work
experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary,
