For more than a century, we've invested in our people as a resource who can help clients achieve their unique financial and lifestyle goals.The Network Design Business Manager drives the efficiency of UMB's Retail Branch network through creating and managing an ongoing data-driven optimization process. The Network Design Business Manager sources and analyzes internal and external data to assess the effectiveness of the network's physical locations, format(s) and staffing allocation. This role is integral in helping the team draw actionable insights and "stories" from raw data to drive executive decision making and inform customer acquisition and retention initiatives.This associate will use data visualization tools and modeling techniques and partner cross-functionally with Properties, Accounting, Finance, Operations, Security, Regulatory Oversight and other Lines of Business to identity, analyze, and draw actionable insights related to staffing allocation and branching from data to inform and help drive profitable customer and revenue growth and deliver upon annual and long-term objectives. Additionally, you will work as a part of a team to assess business results, ongoing viability of initiatives/programs and provide data and insights-based counsel on strategies while helping to inform tactics necessary to achieve business results.**_How you'll spend your time:_**+ Use data modeling techniques (predictive analytics, cohort tracking, segmentation analysis, risk modeling, cross-sell analysis, etc) to provide analytical insights focused on de novo placement, branch optimization opportunities, format recommendations and staffing.+ Measure/evaluate data, recommend actions, and analyze effectiveness of prioritized tactics, programs, and strategies relative to the desired business objectives.+ Apply data automation and visualization tools (ex Power BI) to expand, evolve and optimize a robust data library of internal and third-party data to address on-going/ad-hoc analytical needs.+ Leverages a working knowledge of Retail branches, financial analysis, accounting, and real estate standards to partner with teams to scope project and ultimately create fully integrated strategic plans with budgets, time bound milestones and measurable success metrics(KPIs) Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify reporting requirements, and build, maintain and evolve automated reporting to inform and support leadership decision making.+ Work with technical teams to identify, validate and ensure data integrity of requirements and attributes required to effectively analyze customer data and provide recommendations for the Consumer Bank.+ Understand key financial and business targets/metrics and analyzes results; assist in providing recommendations to ensure key targets/metrics are met or exceeded. During execution stage, monitors project portfolio to the established KPIs and milestones. Reports progress through a standardized channel to invested constituents. Utilizes feedback to refine and improve processes and decision-making.+ Form hypotheses and synthesize fact-based conclusions into recommendations including preparation of materials to deliver insights to leadership team. Tests hypotheses and presents insights in the form of actionable strategies and fully aligned workstreams. Partners with teams to scope project and ultimately create fully integrated strategic plans with budgets, time bound milestones and measurable success metrics(KPIs).+ Work cross-functionally to develop and share analytic facts and insights to inform business strategy/decisions/tactics.+ Monitor and evaluate competitive environment and share insights with leadership.+ Continuously seek improvement by assessing and reassessing processes to create greater levels of effectiveness and standardization.**_We're excited to talk with you if:_**+ 5+ years business experience, with an emphasis in analytics, or financial/statistical modeling.+ Balanced working knowledge of Retail branch processes and standardsAccounting & Financial analysis such as creation of pro forma and cost-base analysis+ Strong organizational skills and a comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities.+ Strong oral and written communications skills.+ Ability to work cross-functionally and share analytical POV with confidence.+ Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint required.+ Skills and experience with data querying.+ Power BI and other data visualization/analytical tools experience required.The pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Colorado is typically $80,157 to $148,995 annually. The selected candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay for the selected candidate may be above or below this range.
