globe at over 70 TRUMPF locations. The Fixed Asset Accountant will
report to the Head of Shared Services and Accounting and is
responsible to provide reliable data to the Business Partner
Controlling Team (TUS) and to the Central Finance department (TH)
for the North American Region. This position is responsible for
accurate postings on the Balance Sheet related to inventory and
fixed assets as well as accurate postings on the P&L related to
COGS. Fixed Asset Account Responsibilities Balance Sheet Fixed
Assets: Ensure accuracy of the monthly and year end postings to
Fixed Assets according to group accounting guidelines (incl.
divisional split where applicable) Track, tag and reconcile of all
fixed assets Collect and maintain accurate records of all capital
investments, changes and retirements Technically manage the
creations of new asset numbers in SAP / EBS Ensure GL postings are
accurate in accordance with the use file life and asset classes
Track open requisitions and AUCs Transfer machines in/out of fixed
asset inventory Complete general ledger processes including
postings, adjusting journal entries, perform account
reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet accounts. Month End
Closing Physical check / reconciliation of TRUMPF machinery in
Fixed Assets Prepare and post depreciation Preparation of Operative
Fixed Asset overview for Management Reports Year End Closing, Audit
& Taxes Coordinate closing and audit activities with the auditors
related to Fixed Assets and Machine Inventory Preparation of Fixed
Asset Roll forwards Physical Inventory of Fixed Assets (every third
year) Provide data for yearly property tax return Experience Must
possess strong analytical skills and be proficient in MS Excel,
experience in an ERP system, preferably SAP. Must be able to
communicate financial concepets and trends to senior management.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. German
language a plus. Desire to work collaboratively across
multifunctional and international teams. Proven ability to drive
results across hierarchies. Education Bachelor's Degree in
