Claims Data & Analytics acts as a Strategic Business Partner
developing and implementing the Claims Data Strategy in support of
advancing a culture of advanced analytics and data driven
decision-making and a highly performing Claims organization.
DISCOVER your opportunity What will your essential responsibilities
include?
- Develop and implement the Claims Data Strategy
- Provide support to the Claims Leadership Team in the
development and implementation of Claims strategies, including
those which emphasize value-added analytics and engagement through
partnerships with Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Global
Tech/Analytics and other key stakeholders.
- Develop and continue to enhance management information tools,
content and reporting capabilities to promote a highly performing
Claims operation and in support of Global and Regional Claims needs
(e.g., KPIs/metrics, large loss reporting, regulatory reporting and
management reporting).
- Support the provision of actuarial and other performance
insights to analyze loss drivers or trends.
- Continued development and advancement of Claims data and
analytics capabilities to provide meaningful insights and lessons
learned to our business partners and other internal stakeholders in
support of business decision making and achievement of goals.
- In collaboration with IDA/Global Tech, Claims Innovation and
other disciplines, drive and support the establishment of advanced
analytics or automation capabilities to create efficiencies and
decision support tools to lead to optimized loss adjustment costs
and claims outcomes, as well as enhance our Claims Value
Proposition and leadership in the market.
- Establishment and maintenance of a Claims data quality,
stewardship and governance discipline in alignment with divisional
and group strategy, policies and standards. Ensure appropriate
controls are in place to support a culture of consistency, accuracy
and completeness in the capture and use of Claims data.
- Develop cost/benefit analyses to support key Claims investments
in technology, capabilities and resources.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Global and Regional claims in
the provision of data & analytics related support to satisfy Audit,
Risk, Group or regulatory remediation activity.
- Provide key support/participate in Claims projects related to
efficiency. Focus on the strategic Claims agenda as well as
tactical opportunities to drive efficiencies and accountabilities.
Analyze complex issues and provide recommended options and/or
solutions
- Leadership of the Claims Data & Analytics team acting as a
coach/mentor to develop the team and playing an active role in
shaping best practice methodologies.
- Support Claims strategies to increase
usage/capacity/effectiveness of Enterprise Shared Services,
including KPIs, reporting tools and other analysis to assist in
governance. You will report to the Head of Global Claims Strategy
and Transformation. We're looking for someone who has these

and ensure tasks are planned and completed accordingly and that any
delays or complications are communicated early and resolved
appropriately.
- Communication: An ability to identify and explain the core
issues to stakeholders and coordinate responses providing solutions
to challenges and further investigation as needed.
- Willingness to Challenge: Effectively and appropriately review
embedded assumptions and create positive change to processes,
increase transparency and improve understanding by wider
stakeholders.
- Strategic Leadership: Role model by setting a high bar for
performance, engagement and commitment. Takes initiative. Ability
to lead independently. Provide creative thought leadership while

- Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment. The pay range
for this position is $147,000 - $273,000 USD. AXA XL is a global
Company. The salary range noted above is applicable only to US
applicants. Actual pay will be determined based upon the
individual's skills, experience and location. We strive for market
