This position is full-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Ensure billing inventory for all assigned accounts is managed within defined processes and meets activity metrics and financial goals, as set by the company.


  • Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate primary and/or secondary billing of all accounts of assigned inventory.


  • Responsible for entering any required updates into the client system to ensure accurate billing.


  • Responsible for denial or error resolution of all assigned claims.


  • Ensure proper and timely notes are document in both Change Healthcare system and client system.


  • Keeps the manager aware of any issues that may be impacting claims resolution.


  • Helps to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.


  • May be required to work on site with client billing team as needed.


  • Assists manager in preparing monthly status reports for clients.


  • Participates with the manager in monthly client meetings to discuss billed inventory with a focus on performance reporting and issue identification and resolution.


  • Assist with high severity requests or escalation issues as needed.


  • Assigned more advanced scope of billing responsibilities for the customer.


  • Assists with Level 1 employee questions.


  • Responsible for provider enrollment.


  • Meets or exceeds all productivity and quality expectations.

    Required Qualifications:


    • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)


    • 2+ years of billing experience in a hospital setting.


    • Knowledge of Commercial, Worker's Comp, Medicaid, and/or Medicare billing guidelines


    • Proficient using HIS (EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, or other PAS)


    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)


    • Proficient with claims system such as Assurance (ePremis, Relay), SSI, or other billing systems


    • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.


      Telecommuting Requirements:


      • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy


      • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)


      • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
