Job Description:
Description: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for
managing and executing key accounting functions to ensure accurate
financial reporting and compliance within a high growth apparel
company. This role supports expense management, cost accounting,
and margin analysis while maintaining internal controls and working
closely with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities:
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring accurate
classification and posting of all financial transactions.
Prepare, review, and post journal entries related to accruals,
prepaids, intercompany transactions, and reclasses.
Perform detailed monthly balance sheet account reconciliations,
including bank accounts, inventory, AP, AR, and other key
accounts.
Reconcile sub-ledgers (e.g., inventory, AP, AR) to the general
ledger and investigate discrepancies.
Monitor and reconcile intercompany balances and ensure proper
eliminations in consolidated financials.
Maintain and review standard and recurring journal entries,
ensuring consistency and accuracy period over period.
Analyze trial balances and investigate large fluctuations or
unusual transactions.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements in accordance with GAAP.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist in designing and maintaining the chart of accounts structure
to support reporting needs and scalability.
Support implementation or upgrades of ERP systems and mapping of GL
accounts for new product categories, warehouses, or sales
channels.
Ensure general ledger activity complies with GAAP, internal
policies, and external requirements.
Prepare audit schedules and respond to external inquiries regarding
general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
Coordinate monthly close tasks/responsibilities with extended
international accounting teams.
Coordinate payroll processing with HR team to ensure proper
department codes for financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is Finance is required.
CPA designation a plus
3-5 years of accounting experience, preferable in the apparel,
retail, or consumer goods industry.
Strong understating of GAAP
Familiarity with ERP systems
Advanced Excel Skills knowing Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and IF
statements.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and
communication skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Experience with wholesale, DTC, and marketplace (Amazon, Shopify,
etc.) accounting flows.
