Staff Accountant Position Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's diverse team of experts. This role will oversee general accounting operations while supporting the organization. The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, and capable of solving problems with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Execute month-end close activities including general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L variance analysis Support inventory management through reconciliations and cycle counts Assist with cash management and forecasting Review and process invoice submissions Develop and document accounting policies to strengthen internal controls Contribute to annual budget planning and operating forecasts Support internal and external audit processes Provide accounting support for AR/AP functions Oversee inventory transactions, identify discrepancies, and recommend process improvements Reconcile inventory accounts, purchase orders, receipts, and transfers Analyze cost variances related to shipments and landed costs Prepare and distribute daily financial reports including cash deposits, sales, and order data Manage monthly receivables and follow up with customers regarding payments Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field 1-5 years of accounting experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills QuickBooks proficiency would be a huge plus Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and collaboratively Analytical problem-solving skills in standardized situations Experience in manufacturing environments would be a PLUS
