unconditionally. We are seeking a dynamic Social Practitioner to
lead our Administrative Unit in our new 600-member Adult Clubhouse
on Manhattan’s Lower East Side/Chinatown neighborhood – Elements
House-LES, a member of Clubhouse International. Reporting to the
Assistant Director, the Social Practitioner (Administrative Unit)
works side-by-side with members to ensure smooth clubhouse
operations, member services, data accuracy, compliance, and strong
administrative infrastructure. The position is open to U.S.
Citizens or Green Card holders – any other applicants are required
to have their own valid work authorization in place at the time of
applying for NYDIS job openings. Responsibilities: • Co-lead daily
administrative functions with members, including reception,
scheduling, filing, member intake processes, internal
communications, and tracking attendance. •\tTrain and coach members
in phone etiquette, email communication, data entry, office
procedures, and professional organizational skills. •\tSupport
members in managing administrative projects such as membership
packets, onboarding materials, unit binders, and document
organization. •\tEncourage member-held roles (e.g., receptionist,
attendance coordinator, file clerk, administrative support lead).
•\tOversee membership intake appointments, recordkeeping, and
document completion. •\tSupport preparation for advisory board
meetings, tours, events, and DOHMH or NYDIS reviews. •\tCoordinate
with external partners regarding referrals, member scheduling, and
required documentation. •\tSupport the Administrative Unit’s role
in welcoming visitors, conducting tours, and promoting a strong
first impression of the clubhouse. •\tMaintain up-to-date
documentation on employment activities, training participation, and
member outcomes. •\tEnsure compliance with all Clubhouse, NYDIS,
and DOHMH policies and reporting requirements. •\tSupport audits,
performance reviews, and internal evaluation processes. •\tAttend
staff meetings, professional development, and Clubhouse
International training courses as required. Qualifications include:
•\tHigh school diploma required, college degree preferred. •\t1-3
years working with individuals with serious mental illness or in a
community setting. •\t1-2 years in coaching/counseling and
vocational rehabilitation preferred. •\tBilingual candidates are
preferred, with a focus on Chinese and/or Spanish. •\tProven
experience with mental health crisis management by supporting and
counseling members. Salary range, $55,000-$65,000 commensurate with
