Senior SOPHIA Editors are responsible for various activities related to creating, updating, maintaining and testing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with accountability for configuration of SOPHIA automation rules, working with developers to maintain and enhance SOPHIA logic for increased claims SOP automation, completing reports for leadership, representing department on Projects and Meetings, and performing analysis for enhanced Utilization and or Automation to enhance user experience
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm.

Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business Contacts for implementations to determine changes to the process requiring updates to documentation
Create/Edit documentation to ensure SOPs are created in a clear and concise manner so it is easily interpreted by end users and reflects objective of SOP
Assess and interpret intent of SOPs for optimal configuration/automation of SOPHIA
Identify document updates required due to Annual Readiness
Identify, analyze and root cause top drives and trends contributing to high volumes of document update requests.
Assist with improving the overall communication to Claim Operations when new documents are created or restructured
Identify documents with similar concepts/actions that could be combined to reduce the overall volume of documents aligned to the Business
Creates and executes standard, repeatable test protocols to ensure configuration accuracy and the timely identification and resolution of defects.
Assesses and interprets intent of Configuration/Automation to determine system and configuration accuracy.
Defect Management and reporting
Interfaces with internal teams to share knowledge and data to achieve department goals
Participates in meetings with internal and external customers
Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical projects
Summarize analysis and recommend solutions to Business Leaders
Completing basic repeatable entry of configuration to assist with large projects and rework
Reporting for Automation and Utilization and defect management
Monitoring User Stories and Testing before deployment of SOPHIA updates or enhancements
Drive accuracy related to document updates
Collaborate with Business Contacts for implementations to determine changes to the process, requiring updates to documentation
Training, Quality Review and mentoring SOPHIA Editing and Configuration

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED (or higher)
1+ years of SOPHIA and/or claim system configuration experience
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products such as Outlook (calendar/email management), Word (create, edit, and save), and Excel (create, edit, save)

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or higher)
SQL and or Access experience for data mining
Claim processing Subject Matter Expert
Experience with mentoring and training

Telecommuting Requirements:
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Soft Skills:
Ability to work independently.
Ability to understand and synthesize information/processes clearly and concisely, and devise solutions.
Ability to assess customer needs and requirements, design relevant tests, deliver results on time, and communicate outcomes.
Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $26.15 - $46.63. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $28.85 - $51.30.
