Position Overview We’re seeking an experienced Journeyman HVAC Installer to lead and perform residential system installations across Connecticut. This position requires strong technical skills, leadership, and a valid S-1 or S-2 license. You’ll ensure each job is completed safely, efficiently, and to code while maintaining excellent communication with customers and your team. Responsibilities Lead residential HVAC system installations (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, etc.) Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job requirements Supervise and mentor installation apprentices or helpers Ensure compliance with local codes, manufacturer specifications, and safety standards Coordinate with office and warehouse staff for equipment, materials, and scheduling Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate progress with homeowners and supervisors Represent Yost & Campbell with professionalism and a customer-focused attitude Requirements Valid S-1 or S-2 Connecticut HVAC license EPA 608 Universal Certification 5 years of HVAC installation experience (1–2 years in a lead role preferred) Strong knowledge of residential systems, both ducted and ductless Ability to read and interpret technical documents and wiring diagrams Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and on ladders Preferred: Experience with high-efficiency, ductless, and zoning systems What We Offer Competitive pay: $40–$60 per hour , based on experience Weekly pay Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid vacation and holidays 401(k) with 4% company match Company vehicle and gas card Paid training and licensing support Opportunities for advancement in a growing, supportive team environment Ready to Lead With Us?
