You’ll be responsible for bringing jewelry design concepts to life
with care, clarity, and a high standard of execution. As a key
member of the design team, you’ll help shape our engagement ring
and wedding band assortments while also supporting the thoughtful
expansion of our fine jewelry collections. This role calls for a
strong creative point of view, technical fluency in fine jewelry
construction and an understanding of how to translate brand
direction into designs that feel modern, meaningful, and
commercially sound. You’ll work closely with our Collection Design
Director, and partners across PD, CAD team, and Production to
ensure every piece reflects Frank Darling’s aesthetic. The right
candidate is curious, collaborative, and energized by a fast-moving
environment, balancing creative exploration with disciplined
execution as the brand continues to grow. Key Duties and
Responsibilities: Understand design goals and communicate ideas
clearly, openly, and thoughtfully with the design team. Interpret
seasonal and product direction and translate it into cohesive
designs that feel true to Frank Darling. Develop sketches,
renderings, and detailed technical drawings that clearly express
design intent from concept through production. Create designs that
balance creativity with wearability and feasibility, ensuring they
are technically sound and ready for development. Design with cost
awareness, confidently translating briefs tied to price targets
into informed decisions around metal, carat weight and stone
selection. Partner closely with Product Development and CAD team to
prototype, test, and refine new ideas, advancing craftsmanship
while maintaining production feasibility. Bring curiosity and
creative problem-solving to research and development, exploring new
techniques, materials, and construction methods. Document R&D
findings and share learnings with the team to inform future
collections and design decisions. Communicate design intent clearly
and provide thoughtful, actionable feedback through drawings,
specifications, and collaboration. Contribute to ongoing design
reviews and brainstorming sessions with fresh ideas and a
constructive perspective. Deliver work on time with close attention
to the original brief, evolving feedback, and project timelines.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while staying organized,
adaptable, and on schedule in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design,
Accessories Design, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in
jewelry design, with expertise and technical knowledge in Bridal
and Fine Jewelry. Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator,
Photoshop, and rendering Familiarity with PLM systems and standard
design documentation workflows Basic to intermediate knowledge of
MatrixGold and Rhino. Basic knowledge of G-Suite Exceptional
attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Workshop experience is a plus. Job Details: Full-time on-site role
located in Tribeca, New York Office hours are 10AM to 6PM Salary:
