Job Description Job Description Position Description: The
Department of Nursing seeks to hire a dynamic, motivated and highly
professional full-time pediatric faculty to serve as an integral
member of the dedicated nursing faculty team in our Baccalaureate
Degree Nursing Program. Applications for a non-tenure track
(Full/Associate/Assistant Clinical Professor) pediatric nursing
faculty position are now being requested. This is a 9-month faculty
contract position in the Department of Nursing. The ideal candidate
should be highly experienced and skilled in undergraduate nursing
curriculum, course development, NCLEX preparation and testing,
clinical and didactic instruction and student remediation in
nursing. Experience in simulation development, implementation, and
evaluation would be a plus. Candidates will be expected to teach
undergraduate courses in pediatrics and other nursing courses based
upon expertise; advise students; contribute to curriculum and
policy development, CCNE accreditation, MA BORN regulation
self-studies, governance, and evaluation of all nursing program
components. Merrimack College seeks candidates with a demonstrated
ability to work with students across a broad range of social and
personal identities and perspectives. The Department of Nursing is
housed in the state of the art Nursing Center at Merrimack College.
This space includes 7 simulation labs, a classroom; 2 debrief
rooms, faculty offices and large student collaborative spaces.
Qualification: The Full-Time Nursing Faculty must satisfy the
following minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in Nursing
required, Doctoral degree is preferred for the non-tenure track.
Current/unencumbered Massachusetts state RN license, healthcare
provider CPR and immunizations as recommended by the Massachusetts
Department of Health. A minimum of two years of full-time clinical
nursing experience, or its equivalent, within the last five years
and evidence of clinical competence in the area of clinical
instruction required for non-tenure track; additionally nursing
education teaching at the baccalaureate college level is preferred.
Outstanding record of professional service commensurate with career
stage. Excellent clinical skills in nursing (or related fields) to
support clinical education. Understanding of healthcare disparities
and disparate needs of historically underserved communities. This
position is subject to the successful completion of a criminal

A teaching statement. Compensation: The expected 9-month base
salary range (paid over 12 months) for the Assistant Clinical
Professor of Practice position is $78,000-$95,000; for the
Associate Clinical Professor is $90,000-$120,000, and for the
Clinical Professor is $110,000-$145,000. The actual pay offered to
the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as,
but not limited to, candidate qualifications and prior experience,
scope of responsibilities, internal equity, and market
