About the Opportunity The D’Amore-McKim School of Business at
Northeastern University is seeking candidates for the Mark and Gail
Pyke Professor of Finance Professorship in the Finance group. The
anticipated start date is Fall 2026 About the D’Amore-McKim School

campus. Summary of Responsibilities: The major responsibility of
the chair holder is to develop initiatives that enhance the
school’s scholarly reputation in the field of finance through
high-impact research and related activities in areas such as
corporate finance, investment, fintech, AI applications in finance,
and sustainable finance and environmental, social, and governance
initiatives. The Mark and Gail Pyke Professor will continue
increasing the visibility and prestige of the D’Amore-McKim School
of Business Finance faculty. The successful candidate will also
promote and enhance the research activities of the finance Group
and work within the University’s ecosystem to develop initiatives
and programs that enhance both the School’s and University’s
reputations among business executives, policymakers, and peers in
prestigious research institutions. Qualifications: Candidates must
hold a doctorate in Finance or a related field by the appointment
start date. They must be outstanding scholars with an international
reputation for excellence in research, teaching, and service, along
with clear indications of continued research success. We are
especially interested in individuals who value collegiality, are
effective mentors of junior colleagues, and whose research would
complement and extend the interests of our existing faculty.
Qualified candidates must be prepared to work with global student

with the external community. Finally, please outline the research
directions you foresee pursuing in the D’Amore-McKim School of
Business, any cross-disciplinary and collaborative aspects, and the

statement (1 page): Please summarize your past instructional and
mentorship experiences, your pedagogical philosophy, your
plans/goals for teaching in the D’Amore-McKim School of Business
(including existing and proposed courses), and your strategies for
teaching and mentoring global student populations. Leadership
statement (1 page): Please describe your past experiences and
activities and/or your future plans detailing your leadership
style, how you intend to cultivate a culture that promotes a sense
of belonging, including fostering a free and open exchange of ideas
and managing different perspectives to help others strengthen their

$383,000 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary
will depend on several factors, which may include your education,

change.
