Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Engineering Manager, will be
responsible for designing, developing and testing sophisticated
software; developing and maintaining infrastructure to support
MathWorks products and internal tools; architecting cross-platform
code; tracking and improving the performance and reliability of
MathWorks build systems; programming and debugging scripting
languages -- Perl and JavaScript; and writing utilities and
automating processes to streamline development. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in
job offered or five (5) years of experience in development or
technical support of software tools using JavaScript and
infrastructure design using Perl. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise programming in JavaScript and Perl. Demonstrated expertise developing functional cross-platform APIs
on Windows and Linux systems, including using JavaScript and XML
for development and using Visual Studio for debugging and
profiling. Demonstrated expertise developing software tools and
infrastructures for code generation technologies using MATLAB and
scripting languages -- Perl and Shell Script. Demonstrated expertise in object oriented design and analysis
using Perl and JavaScript; and performing version control using
