Gold partner, is currently seeking an experienced DevOps Automation
Engineer with a strong background in Development, Automation and
DevOps to join our expanding Cloud Services business unit and work
with some of the best Cloud Architects and Cloud Engineers in the
market.A successful candidate will bring depth of experience in
software development and writing infrastructure automation code
(IaC). They will be able to confidently support DevOps delivery
engagements, provide hands-on experience implementing cloud-native,
and automation-centric architectures, have working knowledge of
continuous integration models, write infrastructure automation
code, work directly with leads and program managers and exhibit an
overall willingness to contribute to the Smartronix team.The
candidate should have experience developing large distributed
cloud-hosted systems and keeping them operational. As a team member
you will be responsible for building and maintaining tools for
deployment, monitoring and operations, as well as troubleshooting
and resolving issues in our production and staging environments
with a major focus on automation, i.e. deployments, cloud set-ups,
monitoring and alerting. A successful candidate should be
comfortable to take on any task or project - big or small - to
efficiently and effectively get the job done and support the
Smartronix customer service and delivery missions. They will bring
proven DevOps design and deployment methodologies to each and every
customer engagement.**Skills and Responsibilities:**+ In-depth
understanding of deploying and leveraging core Cloud (AWS, Azure,
GCP) services.+ Work closely with other engineering development
team members to implement and design the next generation of our
ecosystem.+ Hands-on experience writing automation code that
produces/supports Production-ready infrastructure solutions+ Strong
hands-on experience with IaC automation framework - e.g.:
Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, CloudFormation+ Strong experience
developing Serverless Applications, Microservices and Container
based Applications. Specifically building on top of cloud native
services including but not limited to AWS Lambda, API Gateway, ECS,
ELK, EKS and EB.+ Hands-on experience writing build scripts and
developing and maintaining CI/CD deployment pipelines using
Jenkins, Circle CI or AWS CodePipeline.+ Strong hands-on scripting
knowledge and experience - e.g.: Python, Perl, BASH, PowerShell+ A
passion for coding simple, clean and well-tested solutions with a
working understanding of Application Frameworks and Code (Python
(Django or Flask), Go, Javascript (Express, React or Angular)
and/or Java (Spring)+ Maintain a high level of availability and
quality of service for Smartronix applications, both internal and
external.+ Baseline knowledge of foundational infrastructure
components - e.g.: IP networking, VPNs, DNS, firewalling,
authentication and load balancing concepts+ Ability to translate
customer requirements and needs into proven design patterns+
Understanding of designing and delivering with cost in mind+
Strong, practical Linux or Windows system administration skills+
Proven ability to cleanly document, promote and present your work
to other teams and to customers+ Willingness and ability to
collaborate across internal practices and with other team members+
Ability to work within an organized and structured delivery-centric
team+ Jump into complex troubleshooting efforts when asked and as
needed+ Support after-hours incident escalations and/or maintenance
windows as needed+ Achieve and maintain AWS certification
levels**Required Experience:**+ US citizenship required for work
under DoD contracts.+ 3+ years of experience with one or more
automation frameworks (e.g.: Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform) or
continuous integration tools (e.g.: CodePipeline, Jenkins, Maven,
TeamCity, GoCD, Git)+ 3+ years in a project delivery role involving
direct customer interactions+ 3+ years of hands-on experience using
AWS services+ 3+ years working as a developer or in a
development-centric role+ Proof of active AWS Solution Architect
Associate, Professional or specialty-track certification desired+
Bachelor's Degree required or additional 4 years of relevant
Information Technology experience accepted in lieu of
degreeVaccination within 60-days of hire, or an approved
