We have a strong culture based on our core values: Client First, Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration, Fun!JOB SUMMARY:We're seeking a qualified Application Support Engineer, who can provide customer service as the initial contact point for our clients/internal users of our home grown tech products that are requiring assistance with systems inquires & troubleshooting issues. The Application Support Engineer requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking and the ability to evaluate problem inquiries from our internal and external customers for timely resolution. This role will contribute to multiple projects and interface with Sales, Project Management, Development and QA departments at COVR.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Investigate and resolve problems related to all COVR products and services.
  • Identify solutions to work around open issues / problems that are under investigation or pending resolution.
  • Document, and track, case histories, issues, and actionable steps taken.
  • Performs quality assurance (QA) testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for application bugs.
  • May Require participation on call rotation at future date.
  • Improve documentation of support policies and procedures.JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Required Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology field (MIS, CIS, CS) or demonstrated equivalent work experience
    • 3+ years of experience in application support, development or sysadmin role
    • Previous experience troubleshooting application-related problems
    • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people verbally and written
    • Strong knowledge of windows operation system
    • Strong tSQL skills(Microsoft SQL Server preferred)
    • Conceptual understanding of SDLC, Databases, HTTPS, XML and other basic software development conceptsPreferred Experience:
      • Previous use with log aggregation systems such as Splunk, SumoLogic, Azure Sentinel, etc..
      • Experience with a software development language such as .NET/C#/Java/Python.
      • Basic understanding of Cloud Computing and concepts in Azure, AWS or GCP
      • Insurance industry and past experience with Acord or DTCC
      • Conceptual understanding of Databases, Internet, XML, and other technical concepts
      • PowerBI/SSRS experience is a plus
      • Work with a tracking/management software such as JIRA or Azure DevOpsBENEFITS PACKAGE:We offer a competitive benefits package:
