Senior Platform Engineer

Capital One is seeking a Platform Engineer to be accountable for Strategy, Design and Management of the Corporate Email Platform and project initiatives within Associate Experience Technology. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on various assignments and will manage multiple initiatives at a time.

This role involves daily support and engineering work on the Corporate Email Gateway Platform and its constituent Security add-ons. You will participate in enhanced support of an enterprise class SMTP mail relay ecosystem that transfers 4MM messages per day, as well as system deployments in an AWS cloud environment. Experience in adherence to Federal Compliance and Fin Svc regulations and understanding of Cloud platforms and monitoring of corporate enterprise services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support of Corporate SMTP based systems
• Development and Support for Email Transport platforms (Rules/Policy Development, APIs, Cloud Computing)
• Support Cyber and compliance related initiatives
• Support of Corporate DMARC standards, including DNS record maintenance
• Support of Cloud Monitoring Capabilities
• Work with business partners, and other groups to identify technical and functional needs of LOB generated requests
• Interface with Operations team to drive standards and best practices
• Third Level escalation point for enhanced email support
• Project management for team initiatives and programs Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a technical support or software engineering environment Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
    • 3+ years of experience in system administration, engineering, design and development methodologies
    • 3+ years of experience in SMTP protocols
    • 3+ years experience in email authentication protocols
    • 3+ years in Network topology design or management
    • 3+ years in a Cloud computing environment
    • 2+ years in Project Management experience

      The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
      
      Location is New York City: $131,400 - $150,000 for Senior Platform Engineer
      
      Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
      
      This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
