Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond?SummaryPratt & Whitney Engineering is looking for a Business Manager (P3) on a major commercial engine program. The Business Manager is responsible for the integration, analysis and reporting of cost and schedule data to the Engineering Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) leads responsible for the task and budget management on their Engine Modules.The Business Manager plays an important role in preparing data needed to support high-quality Cost, Schedule, Manpower, and Earned Value (EV) management and reporting required by these programs. He/she/they will work with the individual engineering Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs) and the corresponding Program Offices to identify budget estimates, support proposals, track monthly costs and staffing levels, support the staffing process, measure and track outsourcing, and communicate risks and opportunities. Success will be measured by meeting program timelines and proactively managing cost and schedule risks for the assigned program(s). This role is a challenging and rewarding career development or broadening opportunity for the right individual looking for a career in Engineering Leadership, Engineering Finance, Program Finance or Program Management.Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate responses and reports on CIPT level monthly budgets, outsourcing, open commits, and staffing.
  • Assist in establishing budget and staffing estimates for new tasks and proposals.
  • Communicate CIPT level risks and opportunities.
  • Interface with CIPTs, PMO's (Program Management Office), and IPTLs to coordinate responses to requests.Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of experience within Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Program Management, or Supply Chain field; OR an Advanced Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
    • U.S. Citizenship or US Person Status required due to government contracts.Preferred Qualifications:
      • Strong data analytics and earned value management (EVM) experience.
      • Advanced user of Microsoft OneView and Excel, or similar data analytics and EVM tools.
      • Technical / Engineering background and Aerospace / Aviation industry a plus.
      • Able to effectively communicate, lead, influence and coordinate across teams in strategic projects and initiatives.
      • Organizational and Project-Management skills (PMP certification preferred).
      • Customer-focused with ability to find solutions to complex problems (vendor- and customer-facing) and meet program demands.
      • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics for broad audience.
      • Continuous Improvement experience, and/or LEAN, CORE, ACE, Six-Sigma training.What is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
