Job Description:
Position Overview: The Construction Division Manager for Plant
Services will oversee and manage all operations related to the
refractory, insulation, and scaffolding services provided to
industrial plants and facilities. This includes directing and
supervising projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards,
quality assurance, resource allocation, and effective cost
management. The role requires a strong leadership presence, with
the ability to drive performance, manage cross-functional teams,
and ensure the successful execution of projects in these critical
service areas. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management:
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team specializing in refractory
installation, insulation application, and scaffolding construction.
Provide direction and support to supervisors, foremen, and project
teams, ensuring effective performance and professional development.
Foster a safety-conscious culture and enforce best practices in
compliance with industry standards and company policies. Project
Planning & Execution: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and
execution of refractory, insulation, and scaffolding projects for
plant facilities, ensuring they are completed on time, within
budget, and to the required quality standards. Coordinate with
engineering, procurement, and client teams to align project goals
and timelines. Prepare and manage detailed project plans, work
breakdown structures (WBS), and resource forecasts. Safety &
Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with
safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices.
Implement and enforce site-specific safety protocols to mitigate
risks and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Monitor the quality of work on-site and conduct regular inspections
to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry
standards. Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage project
budgets, ensuring cost control and identifying cost-saving
opportunities. Oversee resource allocation (e.g., manpower,
equipment, materials) to ensure project timelines are met without
compromising quality or safety. Evaluate and source subcontractors
and suppliers, ensuring they meet company and project requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of
contact for clients, contractors, and key stakeholders for all
plant services projects. Provide regular project updates, including
progress reports, timelines, and any potential risks or issues.
Manage client expectations by addressing concerns promptly and
resolving issues in a professional manner. Risk Management &
Troubleshooting: Identify potential risks related to project scope,
timeline, or budget and develop mitigation strategies. Troubleshoot
and resolve issues that arise during the construction phase,
ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines. Implement
corrective actions when necessary to maintain project momentum.
Technical Expertise & Innovation: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of
trends and technologies in refractory, insulation, and scaffolding
services to implement efficient, innovative, and cost-effective
solutions. Ensure adherence to technical specifications and
recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all activities comply with legal,
environmental, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit
periodic reports on project status, safety, financial performance,
and resource utilization to upper management. Qualifications &
Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction
Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related
field. Relevant certifications in construction management, safety,
and project management (e.g., PMP, NEBOSH) are a plus. Experience:
Minimum of [X] years of experience in plant services or industrial
construction, specifically in refractory, insulation, and
scaffolding projects. Proven experience managing large-scale
construction projects, including project scheduling, budgeting, and
resource management. Skills: Strong leadership and people
management skills, with experience in team development and

proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. In-depth
understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best
practices related to refractory, insulation, and scaffolding.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
build relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project,
Primavera) and MS Office Suite. Personal Attributes:
