Duties/Responsibilities: Supervise water main installations and
other construction according to company and contract
specifications. Ensuring that all Veolia & OSHA safety policies are
being adhered to. Along with all internal SOP procedures for the
job being performed. Preparing cost summaries of work performed
relating to contract prices for payment. Ability to use all types
of leaks sounding equipment in order to perform Leak Survey work &
also pinpoint leaks throughout the system for repair. Including
complete work orders in tablets with all required information
pertaining to leak repairs. Must have strong communication skills
and be able to resolve complaints filed by both customers and
municipal officials. Be capable of being contacted by phone and be
available for any emergency or other overtime, which may arise from
me to me. In addition to the above, the dues include all or any of
equal or lesser rated jobs within the Transmission and Distribution
classification as the Supervisor of Transmission & Distribution or
other individual in authority at the me may deem necessary.
Qualifications Education/Experience/Background: High School
Diploma/GED is required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to
interpret plans and specifications. Specifically for main, hydrant,
valve & service replacements. Making sure all company or
engineering specifications are being adhered to. Knowledge of
mathematics pertaining in particular to computations of rock
removal, paving cuts (dimensions) with various knowledge pertaining
to types of paving required for restoration. Possess strong
computer skills to include knowledge of the following software:
Excel, Word, Outlook and Windows. Ability to use a tablet to
complete and close out required work as directed. Ability to read
drawings and be familiar with all Permanent Restoration SOP's along
with all municipal requirements for restoration work. Required
Certification/Licenses/Training: Possess a New York State
Commercial Driver's license to include Air Brake Endorsement.
