Overview CR Machine has been family-owned and operated for over 50
years, serving customers across industries with precision machining
of stainless steel and high-temp alloys. Our Billerica, MA facility
is clean, modern, and equipped with advanced CNC machines from
Kitamura, Brother, Miyano, Doosan, and Smart . About the Role We
are seeking a highly skilled CNC Lathe Machinist/Programmer to join
our growing team. This position is ideal for a machinist who can
independently program, set up, and operate CNC lathes, taking raw
material all the way to finished product with precision.
Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC lathes
( Miyano, Doosan, Smart ) and CNC mills ( Kitamura, Brother ). Take
projects from raw stock to finished parts with minimal supervision.
Read and interpret customer drawings, blueprints, and
specifications. Determine speeds, feeds, tolerances, and machining
sequences. Make trial cuts, adjust machines, and perform complete
setups. Finish parts by machine and hand as required. Work with
advanced tooling, cutting strategies, and modern machining
practices. Perform in-process inspection using precision tools
(micrometers, calipers, surface gages, profilometer, CMM, vision
systems, dial indicators). Apply trigonometry and shop math to
calculate dimensions, angles, and layouts. Use CAD/CAM software for
programming (Fusion360 preferred; Mastercam also acceptable).
Collaborate with the team and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 5 years
of CNC machining and programming experience preferred (willing to
consider strong candidates with less). Proficiency in multi-axis
CNC lathe setup and operation. Experience with Fusion360 or
Mastercam programming . Familiarity with Kitamura, Brother, Miyano,
Doosan, or Smart machines a plus. Strong teamwork, problem-solving,
and work ethic required. Must be authorized to work in the United
States on a full-time basis. Local candidates only. There is no
