Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Manufacturing Engineer will work within the Engineering Department to create and evaluate existing manufacturing processes for vertical and horizontal lathes, and multi-axis milling machines. Responsibilities Develop cost effective manufacturing process to support 4-5 axis machining centers Design cost effective and quick changeover manufacturing fixtures and tooling Create shop floor documentation including operation sheets and work instructions Implement cost reduction initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing techniques Initiate corrective actions to floor processes Cost estimating and quoting Participation in lean and continuous improvement events Qualifications: Experience with Aerospace materials Proficient with Unigraphics NX4-5, CAM and 3D modeling Must be accustomed to deadlines and accountability Experience with complex aerospace parts including milling and turning processes Lean manufacturing techniques Effective time management skills including multi-tasking Ability to read blueprints.
