Job Description Location: Albany, MO Shift: Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday: 11AM-11PM) Pay: $23.47/hour Position Summary Are you detail-oriented and mechanically inclined? Join our Albany Plant team in this Class V Maintenance position. You will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems, including mechanical, electrical (single- and three-phase), hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled machinery. You will install, dismantle, rig, fabricate, weld, and rebuild equipment and components, operate machine tools, and read and interpret blueprints and schematics. You will perform preventive maintenance, maintain forklifts, cranes, and hoists, operate maintenance equipment, and support overall plant safety and reliability. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the Following: Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment. Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machines operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines. Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. This will include the rigging and installation of machinery. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring (3-phase and single phase), and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment. Install, program, and/or repair programmable controls, and machine controllers. Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. Operate cutting torch or welding equipment. Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures. Read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic, pneumatic, and/or electrical schematics. Operate forklift, and other maintenance related equipment) examples include but not limited to man-lift, snowplow etc. Repair and maintain forklifts and other related vehicles. Repair and maintain hand tools, impact guns, saws, etc. Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment and inspects cranes and hoist monthly. Other duties may be assigned. Hazardous Waste Handling Waste Identification & Classification: Identify and classify hazardous waste according to local regulations. Label containers with appropriate hazard warnings and accumulation start dates. Collection & Storage: Collect hazardous waste from generating areas and transport to designated storage areas. Ensure proper segregation and storage of incompatible materials. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of waste generation, storage, and disposal (e.g., manifests, logs). Assist with regulatory inspections Transportation & Disposal: Prepare waste for off-site shipment, including packaging and labeling per requirements. Safety & Emergency Response: Use appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols when handling hazardous materials. Respond to spills or incidents involving hazardous waste in accordance with emergency procedures. Training & Communication: Participate in required training programs Communicate with EHS personnel and other departments to ensure compliance and safety.
