Power (RAP) at Raytheon is seeking electronics technicians to
build, test, document, and troubleshoot analog and power
electronics, assemblies and systems. The hardware types perform a
variety of functions with applications ranging from low power to
high voltage and high current. Specific tasks may include hands-on
fabrication of prototype hardware, use of electrical test
equipment, fabrication tools and schematic capture. The ideal
candidate is self-motivated, works independently and committed to
developing advanced knowledge and skills related to analog and
power electronics and electrical components. RAP is responsible for
design, product, and production support engineering in the
following areas: Power System Design - Power System Noise, System
Simulation and Modeling, Solid State Transmitters, Tube
Transmitters, High Voltage Design, Power Sources, Generators Power
Conversion - AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC, Linear and Switching Supplies,
Power Factor Correction (PFC), Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS),
Resonant Circuits, Synchronization, Noise Controls Power
Distribution - Ground, Air, Shipboard, and Space, Power Generation,
Line Voltage, High Current, Low Voltage, Micro-Power, DC, AC,
Multi-Phase Power Control, Fault Reporting, Isolation, Protection
Circuits, Redundant Systems Power Sub-System Design - Filters,
Harmonic Control, EMI, Circuit Simulation, Magnetics, Protective
Relay Systems, Short Circuit and Stress Analyses Control Systems –
Servo Control Systems, Motor/Power/Process Control, Digital
Feedback Systems, Command Generation, Inertial Stabilization,
Navigation Algorithms This position is an on-site role. Full-time
position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. What you will do Work
closely with engineering teams in a lab environment supporting
research and development of electrical concepts to actual products.
Work will also include supporting legacy products. Support
integration activities, including system-level testing and
troubleshooting. Various facets of testing, presenting technical
data to engineers for review. Engage in personal technical growth,
and facilitate technical growth in peers Maintain a clean,
organized, and safe work environment by adhering to safety
protocols, and ensuring compliance and regulatory safety standards.
Travel to Marlborough, MA; Tewksbury, MA; Andover, MA; Woburn, MA;
and/or Pelham, NH may be required depending on the assignment.
Opportunities to travel CONUS and OCONUS. Qualifications you must
have Typically requires a B.S. degree and minimum 5 years’
experience in electronics, electrical hardware fabrication, bread
boarding, test, troubleshooting and the ability to read technical
documentation or an A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology and
a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. In absence of a
degree, minimum of 9 years minimum of relevant experience is
typically required. Experience in using a variety of power and
digital test equipment to verify the performance of electronics
such as oscilloscopes, voltage and current power probes and meters,
function generators, power sources AC/DC. Experience with soldering
surface mount and through hole electronics, fabricate
electrical-mechanical hardware such as test boxes and wire
harnesses. Qualifications we prefer Experience working with
electronic components Hands-on experience with AC, DC high voltage
and high current Ability to read and interpret schematics Strong
Electro-Mechanical aptitude Ability to write detailed test reports
Experience working in engineering and manufacturing environments
Experience troubleshooting/servicing field equipment Excellent
written and verbal communication Experience in a DoD environment

86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith
estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers
