We are seeking a highly motivated, talented individual, who has a true desire to lead in a dynamic operations environment to join our team as a Transitions Project Manager in Aftermarket Operations North America & Turkey (NA&T) at East Hartford campus with up to 15% travel.You will be responsible for the overall planning, management, and completion of part repair transition projects supporting various repair and overhaul units and commodities to ensure all producibility requirements are validated for the new repair unit. You will work with Supply Chain Licensing, Procurement, Global Services Engineering (GSE), QNPE Source approval, domestic and international suppliers to ensure project scope of work aligns with transition documents: job ticket, technical reviews, licensing documents, and business needs.You will heavily utilize project management skills to lead projects, identify resource requirements, meet training needs, define project deliverables, provide customer satisfaction, and ensure quality and speed of projects. You will ensure effective communications and relationships between repair units and project team members is maintained. You will drive process improvement and "lean" manufacturing initiatives as a key element of all transition projects.Key Responsibilities

  • Work with AMO repair sites, GSE and RSA teams to identify and coordinate development plans for transitioned part repairs.
  • Work with appropriate strategic sourcing and procurement representatives to develop project business cases and overlap plans in support of project scope in accordance with Transition Standard Work.
  • Provide team leadership on individual projects; and ensure matrixed team is aligned to meet project goals with schedule, quality, and cost deliverables.
  • Coordinate technical reviews, process family matrices, and contract reviews to mitigate risks to ensure on-time part delivery. Reviews include: Business Cases, Licensing Agreements, First Article Inspection Review (FAIR), Engineering First Piece Review (EFPR), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) review, and all PW requirements for Repair Catalog List.
  • Assign, schedule, review, and monitor project work to ensure that progress is within expected guidelines and is completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure project reporting structures and frequency of repair unit and functional team interaction are established and maintained.
  • Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies that may arise during the implementation. Facilitate amicable solutions with the appropriate supplier(s) and complies with all procurement requirements in doing so.
  • Facilitate and document opportunities to integrate process improvements with suppliers and resources to fulfill project requirements.
  • Prepare and present oral and/or written technical reports and project presentations.
  • Organize and conduct project team meetings.
  • Utilize project management tools to plan and track transitions to completion.
  • Ensures International Trade Compliance (ITC) requirements and licensing for product repairs being transitioned are satisfied and in alignment with all Import and Export requirements as understood through ITC.
  • Actively manage projects utilizing Transition Standard Work (TSW) guidelines
  • Ability to travel minimum 15% of time to support customer deployments. Domestic and International Travel.Required Qualifications
    • BA/BS Operations, Engineering, Management, Supply Chain or Economics
    • 8+ years' related experience Supply Chain, Operations or Business
    • ACE Associate
    • U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts
    • Ability to travel a minimum 15% of time to support customer deployments.Preferred Qualifications
      • MBA and PMP certification preferred
      • 10+ years' related experience Supply Chain, Operations or Business
      • Project management and team leader experience
      • SAP and MS Office-Word, Excel, Project, PPT
      • Dynamic interpersonal skills
      • Excellent judgment and professional maturity
      • Ability to create positive relationships
