Job Description Summary

Travelers Insurance Companies and our Bond & Specialty Insurance Information Technology group is seeking a talented professional to join and guide our organizational initiatives as a Sr. Director of Architecture specializing in Information Architecture. This position requires a self-driven technically competent individual to provide architectural guidance, technological recommendations and transition strategies that support the development and implementation of business solutions.
We will rely on you for abilities to lead and motivate a talented team of technical professionals. Ideally, you're someone who can help guide others towards technology solutions you believe in. Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

This role is responsible for leading teams of senior architects and/or managers focused on the creation of end-to-end technical solutions to enable users and business.
Develops and communicates plans and priorities for their architecture team to meet team performance and results requirements.
This person will co-lead the Architecture Center of Excellence from an application architecture perspective within Bond and Specialty Insurance to raise the maturity and practices of the architecture community within B&SI and to influence the architecture community across the enterprise as a whole.
Adheres to and may contribute to the development of the roadmap for architectural recommendations.
Presents analysis and recommendations to help influence management and executive leadership decisions.
Provides guidance and coaching and helps with career development for senior team members.
Establishes budgets, policies and practices with significant impact on area operations.
Expert understanding of key business knowledge areas (e.g., product, enterprise, industry, claim process and competitors).
Requires thorough understanding of functional operations and how cross-functional interdependencies may affect attainment of goals.
Partners with vendors and product management areas to establish required infrastructures and frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
6 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture required.
3 years of experience managing others and/or technical teams.

Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
9 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture preferred.
5 years of experience managing others and/or technical teams.
