Job Description:

The VP of Psychometric Services for School Assessment will join the extended School Assessment Leadership team and will report directly to the SVP for Psychometrics and Testing Services in Pearson Assessments & Qualifications. The VP of Psychometric Services provides test construction, research, and delivery services for all Pearson School Assessment. These assessments services include large-scale, high-stakes accountability measures as well as interim/benchmark, formative, and other evaluative measures and support services. The VP of Psychometrics will support the SVP for Psychometrics and Testing Services as well as the School Assessment teams in developing and implementing on-demand and bespoke measurement solutions for a variety of current and future customers. This position offers the opportunity for strategic management, requires an innovative mindset, and provides advancement opportunities. This is a remote position with some travel required. Responsibilities include: Management and professional development of a staff of psychometricians, statistical analysts and researchers/consultants who support assessments for a variety of Pearson's customers Coordination and consultation with School Assessment staff on a frequent basis, and with the client as needed regarding operational, implementation, innovation, and measurement research Provides oversight for psychometric quality across assessment programs and is responsible for delivery of psychometric support which is on-time, error-free, defensible, and efficient Manages budgets and priorities, provides strategic planning and resource optimization, all while supporting and nurturing employees and their growth Responsible for delivering on agreed-upon fiscal and operational plans with a bias toward quality and efficiency Support the SVP for Psychometrics and Testing Services as well as the School Assessment Leadership Team in achieving our goals and initiatives The VP of Psychometric Services may lead or oversee a large-scale assessment program or several smaller assessment programs and will be responsible for managing others who do. The VP of Psychometric Services is responsible for employee hiring and retention, engaging staff in professional development, and leading psychometric staff on project fulfillment and research-related educational assessment. The VP of Psychometric Services will be the "thought leader" for School Assessments and must be innovative, creative, and able to engage with complementary and competing efforts both within and from outside Pearson School Assessments. The VP will maintain an emphasis on establishing relationships with School Assessment partners, inclusive of state department of education leadership, Technical Advisor Committee (TAC) members, and industry partners. The successful employee will attend and present at professional conferences, participate in service projects to the measurement community and will be seen as a resident expert in measurement practice. The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $225-250k. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
