Job Classification:Corporate - Legal and CompliancePrudential Investment Management Services LLC ("PIMS") is seeking an experienced individual to serve as a Director, Regulatory Supervision reporting to PIMS' senior Principal accountable for Retirement's broker-dealer functions. PIMS is an SEC-registered broker-dealer and FINRA member firm within Prudential Financial. Supporting 10 business units and functions, PIMS serves as underwriter, wholesaler, placement agent, self-clearing firm, and retailer of investment products manufactured by and sold though Prudential Retirement, PGIM Investments, Prudential Group Insurance, Jennison Associates, PGIM Quantitative Solutions, PGIM Fixed Income, PGIM Private Capital, PGIM Real Estate, and the Treasures Office. Additionally, associated persons of the firm work in service and support functions within the Enabling Solutions unit. PIMS operates primarily as a distributor to institutional and retail investors of mutual funds, ETFs, group variable products, closed-end funds, private funds, commercial paper, IRAs, and certain other Retirement products.The Director, Regulatory Supervision will be a key member of the Retirement OSJ management team, primarily responsible for direct supervision of the PIMS Retirement Full-Service business transitioning to a third-party entity over the next 2 years. This individual will guide and help in the development, implementation and reporting of metric testing used to help ensure the firm's compliant and effective operations at the center of the firm, within and across the constituent businesses. In addition, this role will help assure a sound control environment across the full-service business for the duration of assignment, and as applicable assist in firm supervision within this business. The role will assist in the development, documentation and adherence with supervisory policies and procedures within the Retirement Full Service business.Specific Job Responsibilities: ---- Performs day-to-day direct oversight of PIMS functions performed by PIMS registered reps including review of trends and Supervisory Principal approval of relevant reports ---- Manages collection, preparation and review of PIMS metrics and dashboards for the in-scope functions--- Works closely with PIMS supervisory principals on first line testing, validation and monitoring of supervisory controls--- Manages issue tracking and resolution - escalates issues timely where needed--- Keeps records and assists with any potential violations of PIMS policies, WSPs or SOPs updates, internal investigations, or disciplinary matters ---- Leads audit and compliance engagement for the duration of transition period in conjunction with control partners. Partners closely with control functions on all PIMS activities within the business--- Maintains appropriate PIMS policies and procedures and manages/delivers training plans for in-scope PIMS employees--- Monitors books and records, coordinates supervisory system updates, and tracks appropriate delegation and attestation processes -Qualifications: --- Minimum of 10 years of broker-dealer supervisory experience, ideally within both an institutional and retail environment ---- Thorough knowledge of the broker-dealer business from a risk, product, corporate governance, regulatory, marketplace, compliance, and administrative perspective; understands and can navigate in a complex, global environment--- Demonstrated understanding of the business and regulatory framework ---- Knowledge and understanding of FINRA and SEC rules and regulations, insurance and other state and federal securities laws and rules applicable to broker-dealer supervision and operations--- Proven communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal) and ability to interact and collaborate effectively with all levels of management and provide timely, clear, and complete communications--- A self-starter with a creative and strategic risk-based approach to problem solving including the ability to confront conflict and difficult issues in a professional, assertive, and proactive manner while challenging the status quo--- Ability to effectively prioritize competing priorities while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced changing environment--- Collaborates in a fully inclusive and open manner--- Bachelor's degree preferred, FINRA Series 7 and 24 required. Prior background in compliance or regulatory functions desired. ---- Strong attention to detail and excellent project management ability *Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident. Salary range specific to Colorado: $110,200-149,200 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
