Imagine loving what you do and where you do it.Job CategoryTechnologyTarget Openings1Job Description SummaryTravelers is looking for a servant leader to manage the Value Stream roadmap and portfolio through a period of game-changing digital and agile change. They are the caretaker of the value stream roadmap. They are responsible for maintaining line of sight and coordination of all major milestones; implementing both internal to the VS and inbound from other areas. Activities include collaborating with neighbors and enterprise areas to align capacity, facilitating annual planning, maintaining standards around PI planning (before/after), and working with Change Lead, Finance & Benefit Lead, and Circle leads to plan and coordinate work to avoid collisions; optimally align sequencing.
This position may be based 100% remotely or in one of our offices.Primary Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities

  • Communication - Responsible for maintaining and publishing aggregate capability roadmaps; pre and post program increment priorities and output; post-release roll-ups. Aggregating and elevating key decisions that must be made; by when and by who.
  • Financial/Capacity Management - Monitoring monthly trends of target vs actuals by work type (invest native/inbound/outbound, enhancements, product defects, etc.) for both dollars and points; reconciliation of any deviations and recommendations for adjustments as necessary. Management of annual budget planning process including schedule, forums, approach. Formulation and proposals of funding options and choices. Aggregation of demand for enterprise areas. Assist with facilitating through resource collision / prioritization / planning for engagement of chapter/center of excellence resources.
  • Administration of value stream operating norms / forums - Management and facilitation of recurring forums such as leadership team and advisory council meetings; includes maintaining intent, ensuring value, management of agenda, decisions and actions; own maintenance of internal processes and documentation; identification and establishment of new operating routines and improvements. Oversight of monthly leadership review creation; elevation and transparency into key risks and decision.
  • Planning and sequencing - Focus on work that cuts across areas within the value stream and/or impacts business areas such as service. Maintain visibility of timing/capability roadmaps from various sources (enterprise, other value streams) impacting our VS and constituents. Identify need for sequencing of business design, business planning, and overall planning for service technology modernization originating within the value stream and from other value streams impacting service operations.
  • Identify strategic dependencies of success and plans toward prioritization, management of collisions, decision making routines and escalation solutions.
  • Collaborate with technology resource managers to ensure alignment between investment levels and resource allocationMinimum Qualifications
    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • 5 years of project management experience required.Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
      • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
      • 7 years of project management experience preferred.
      • 2 years of experience managing others and/or project teams preferred.Job Specific Technical Skills & Competencies
        • Manages team development, very active in the mentoring of members of the PM community, may have direct management responsibility of PMs.
