STV currently has an opening in the Eastern USA for a -Business Development Director -in one of our Northeast Regional Offices (NYC, Newark/Lawrenceville, NJ, Douglassville/Harrisburg/Philadelphia, PA, Hartford, CT and/or Boston, MA to lead, capture and manage multimodal opportunities for our -Transportation and Infrastructure division. Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform client management, coordination, and communication with all clients in the NE region including City and State DOTs, Transit Agencies, Port/Toll Authorities, County and State Infrastructure Departments and MPOs.
  • Identify / track new business opportunities focusing on NY, PA, MA, CT & NJ
  • Track, manage and update all opportunities through Client Relation Management (CRM) System to develop and meet annual sales and backlog targets
  • Responsible for annual sales targets to meet growth and backlog goals year after year
  • Identify and meet with potential teaming partners and clients to identify and position for opportunities
  • Develop and execute win plans for qualified opportunities
  • Develop and execute capture plans for new clients and markets
  • Manage and facilitate proposal team activities from decision stage through qualifications and proposal, working in partnership with the business until leaders, technical teams and proposal management team. See this process through from start to finish.
  • Lead pursuits working with technical and proposal development staff until opportunity is booked
  • Support the annual strategic business plan providing all inputs on markets, opportunities, sales targets and growth targets
  • Participate in industry associations, seminars, trade shows and events to position STV
  • Recruit business development support staff and seller/doers
  • Work with the Northeast Regional Manager and Business Unit Managers to develop strategies for cultivating prospects and obtaining work Required Skills:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related degree required.
    • Successful candidate will have a history of developing and maintaining effective business relationships with clients and peers and knowledge of the transportation.
    • Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
    • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required.
    • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and situation as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and perform in a business environment, maintain professionalism in all communications and demeanor.
