Work you'll do

As a Marketing Manager, you will lead projects aligned to the branding of DLA as well as communication strategies and designs highlighting one or more threads of work within the academies. You will support the branding, marketing, and communications to launch and build DLA while contributing to thought leadership in alignment with the strategic vision. Your efforts will support and promote the curricula of DLA which align with the learning and talent development strategy to achieve desired business outcomes, on time and within budget. The responsibilities include:

Branding & Communications Management
Lead key marketing and communications campaigns in collaboration with multiple Deloitte branding initiatives (e.g., Talent Experience, Tech Narrative, DU, etc.) and implement deliverables, while identifying strategic communications channels (both internal and external) to amplify messages.

- Weave storytelling and human-centered, inclusive language into messaging to personalize the narrative and capture Deloitte's unique culture, values, and exceptional talent experience.

- Conduct needs analysis to identify next-up hot-topics and communications needs.

- Maintain an active curiosity about the latest trends in the leadership and technology training landscape (including competitor actions) to anticipate business asks and oversee the creation of marketing and communications solutions to keep DLA's brand as the premier destination for leadership and technology skill development.

Stakeholder Relationship Management
Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to produce clear, consistent, and creative marketing and communications that align with key DLA objectives related to acquisition, retention, skill building, etc.

- Foster strong relationships with external stakeholders in targeted media outlets to boost placement of our messages as desired

- Establish and maintain close ties with DLA leaders and other L&D marketing and communications professionals to ensure consistent messaging.

- Serve as business advisor and brand/communications expert to help the business understand the DLA/DTA portfolio.

Strategy Development
Create and review deliverables that support and drive strategy and organization of DLA

Operations Management
Contribute to remote teamwork to deliver on the DLA vision across geographies-executing with strong project management skills to monitor projects, financials, scope, issues, risks, timelines-by delivering quality solutions that achieve desired business outcomes.

- Collaborate with the leadership team to monitor the effectiveness of core communications materials and strategy.

- Leverage team resources to produce dashboards and measurement reports as needed to monitor efforts with stakeholders.

- Own and manage individual marketing and communications plans and budgets to execute against overall L&D strategy.

Resource Management & Development
Contribute to a high-performing team by sharing leading marketing and communication practices and using metrics to inform planning decisions.

- Create a teaming environment which encourages sharing of best practices, driving innovation, and continuing improvement. -

Exhibit a consultative mindset to assess current state, define future vision and define gaps



  • Communications professional with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience
  • A Bachelor's degree (preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, or Journalism) is required
  • Proven success in developing and executing internal and external communications strategy and communications plans for a large business, preferably in professional services
  • Strong writing, editing, and copy-editing skills and previous writing/editing experience in corporate communications, PR, or journalism fields required
  • Experience in successfully managing and delivering sensitive, crisis, and executive communications requests in a large-scale corporate environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment and build trusted relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated consultative approach: excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills, including experience owning client relationships with senior leaders
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking virtual environment
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office skills and ability to produce deliverables that carry a "stamp of excellence."
  • In Excel, aggregate data, conduct complex analysis, and display results visually
  • In PowerPoint, translate data into insights and tell a logically structured, succinct, and compelling story tailored to your audience that conveys clear, actionable recommendations
  • In Word, create clear, concise communications with a user-friendly layout conducive to cognition
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
    • Strong strategic-thinking skills with an ability to collaborate with team members on best practices
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills that build relationships across levels with a capacity for influence, collaboration, and consensus-building
    • Some amount of travel could be required based on role responsibilities
