The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range$89,300.00 - $147,300.00Target Openings1What Is the Opportunity?Under General Supervision, provides analytic and operational support for Field Sales Operations and Personal Insurance Field Sales region(s). Partners and supports the Field Sales Operations team, Regional Vice Presidents, Regional Directors within Sales Operations, Regional Sales Directors, and Sales Executives. Incumbent may manage others. Definition of General Supervision: Independently performs a variety of duties, including potentially complex duties within established policy guidelines; responsible for a defined set of assignments; is expected to set priorities and meet specific goals and objectives of the function or unit. Travelers offers a hybrid work location model that is designed to support flexibility.Primary Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesFinancials/Analytics:

  • Produces accurate and timely quarterly/monthly/weekly & daily analytical reports, variance analyses, ad hoc reports and modeling to meet national and regional reporting requirements and requests.
  • In coordination with Field Sales Operations and Regional team(s), responsible for sales & analytic planning; performance management of sales activities and initiatives, reporting & analytics, and sales operations.
  • Manages the countrywide agency-level planning process.
  • Influences the Sales Initiative Scorecard metrics and targets.
  • Develops report dashboards for field use.
  • Develops analytic models to address various ad hoc requests and needs.
  • Analyzes and interprets trends and variances in business and agency performance
  • Conducts and participate in complex production and operational analysis projects and create analytical models and sales tools.Sales Operations:
    • Creates and tracks utilization of tools and existing systems and provides feedback to management with a focus on business development, agency and field behaviors.
    • Create reports using Access, SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint to provide clear, actionable data for decision making.
    • Supports the drive toward performance standards by producing reports on metrics of sales activities determined to be essential to achieving success within the sales organization, track and report on these activities on a periodic basis.
    • Provides reporting and analysis to national and regional management. Develops workflows, processes and documentation standards to help achieve production and profitability targets and desired field and agency behavior
    • Effectively manages operations and processes to support sales and production functions (working with various internal teams to support sales operations).
    • Assists sales leadership in finding solutions for process, reporting and sales tool inefficiencies.
    • Identify & implement workflows for operational efficiencies in distribution management.Leadership:

        • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
        • Minimum of 3 years experience in sales operations functions.
        • General knowledge of financial reporting structure and reporting systems.Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
          • Previous managerial experience preferred.
          • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access and SQL expertiseJob Specific Technical Skills & Competencies
            • Strong analytical skills including the ability to draw conclusions from analysis and make initial recommendations. Strong SQL, Access skills are highly desired
            • Intermediate ability to analyze multiple sources of information and develop alternative solutions.
            • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively present information.
            • Intermediate problem solving skills.
            • Intermediate business acumen with some Sales and Marketing knowledge.
            • Definition of Intermediate: Demonstrates solid knowledge and ability and can apply the competency in the full range of typical situations with minimal or no guidance.
