Charter Oak Health Center is seeking employment of an VP/Quality Assurance & Improvement who is eager to work in a diverse environment. -This person must believe in the mission and vision of Charter Oak Health Center, as well as being a team player. Position Summary: The Vice President of Quality Assurance & Improvement will develop, implement, and periodically evaluate Charter Oak's Quality Assurance & Improvement program to ensure it meets the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by Charter Oak Health Center's mission and strategic goals. In collaboration with leadership, staff, clinical staff leadership, and the Board of Directors, the VP QA/QI directs and coordinates quality/performance improvement and system-wide initiatives. Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Complies with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including but not limited those within the Compliance Process, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA.
  • Participates in required orientation and training programs, as required.
  • Reports concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance in accordance with COHC Compliance Re porting Process.
  • Cooperates with monitoring and audit functions and investigations.
  • Participates, as requested, in process improvement responsibilities.
  • Cultivate a strong internal culture designed around inspiring possibility, fostering economic logic and supports strategic alignment. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Core Competencies/Skill Sets:

    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Displays written and verbal communication skills, and is able to follow written and oral instructions.
    • Have the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as clinicians, care teams, and administrators.
    • Is knowledgeable about healthcare risk management and performance improvement activities.
    • Can work independently and productively with little supervision.
    • Motivates people to commit to take the correct actions and to act out of the box with high sense of urgency to achieve the organization's strategic goals.
    • Strong knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, anti-oppression and social justice.
    • Has an understanding of the concepts of institutional and structural racism and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities. -
    • Promotes diversity, equity and inclusion activities. - Professional Experience/Educational Requirements:
      • Possession of a Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred in healthcare-related field, social work, sociology, psychology, or related human services.
      • Training in healthcare compliance activities, healthcare performance improvement activities, and healthcare administration preferred.
      • Minimum of five years of experience in Quality and/or Performance Improvement in a public health environment.
      • Working knowledge of Population Health, preferred
      • Working knowledge of Constraint Management principles and practice
      • Abstinence from drugs Certification/Licensure
        • Six Sigma experience and/or Continuous Improvement
