Hartford's Personal Lines business is approximately $3B and
provides automobile, homeowners and personal umbrella coverages to
individuals across the United States. The business includes The
AARP - Automobile and Homeowners Insurance Program and is written
through the Direct Channel and through Independent Agents.This
position is responsible for developing business improvement actions
and leading technical product development initiatives.The posted
salary range reflects our ability to hire at different levels
depending on background and experience.Responsibilities:
- Independently lead moderately complex projects which typically
span one-year through each phase of the project lifecycle including
design, build, rollout, implementation and post-production
monitoring.
- Partner closely with key stakeholders across the organization
to ensure deliverables aligns with the product vision.
- Coordinate and lead regular team meetings to ensure teams are
focused on the highest priority items.
- Participate in larger initiatives and may lead a functional
workstream to develop and deliver products with limited
oversight.
- Leading and/or partnering with cross-functional teams in the
execution of business initiatives and projects. Specific teams with
significant partnership include IT, State Product Management, Legal
and Compliance, Coverage & Forms, Underwriting, Operations,
etc.
- Creation of timelines for larger initiatives; communicate
deadlines and hold others accountable.
- Coordinate the creation of Cost Benefit Analysis supporting
Home Line initiatives.Qualifications:
- Minimum: 4-year degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: Advanced degree and/or insurance designation(s) and
5+ years prior relevant work experience.
- Preferred: Insurance experience with 4+ years in a relevant
role.
- Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including
Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrates critical thinking on complex business
problems.
- Demonstrates effective communication and decision-making
skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to develop and
execute on project timelines.
- Ability to independently lead cross- functional
teams.CompensationThe listed annualized base pay range is primarily
based on analysis of similar positions in the external market.
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed
range based on factors including but not limited to performance,
proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the
role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total
compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include
short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot
recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:$68,000
