Job DescriptionCVS Health has an exciting opportunity on the Enterprise Strategy team to lead market and competitive intelligence for our Aetna business segment. The Lead Director of Market and Competitive Intelligence will report to the Executive Director of Cross-HCB Enterprise Strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for generating insights and developing implications for the healthcare business. You will be expected to conduct market research, analyze and synthesize the findings, develop a perspective on market movements and competitive actions, articulate the implications to our business, and communicate these findings to senior leaders.You will be expected to interact with senior leaders across CVS Health. As this is a new role, you will assist with shaping the future direction of this function. Additionally, as part of a small, high-performing team, the Lead Director of Market and Competitive Intelligence must be flexible to support core strategy work as needed. This role includes tight turnaround times and requires exceptional attention to detail, sharp analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.Key Responsibilities: Influence and shape HCB Strategy based on industry / market dynamics and competitive intelligence, producing timely insights, and identifying relevant implications to our core businesses in the near- and long-term Conduct market research to identify competitive threats and emerging opportunities (e.g., whitespace, high-growth areas) across the industry Apply an 'enterprise' lens to healthcare benefits strategic implications, bringing the broader healthcare industry and all CVS Health business segments into consideration Develop market landscapes to identify and communicate impactful trends, classify competitors / peers, and assist in framing strategic options and decisions Create and distribute competitive insights on a regular basis to senior leadership (e.g., Investor Days, Earnings Calls, M&A transactions) Present insights topics to HCB leadership on a regular basis, building out a rolling schedule of internally and externally developed market and competitive insights Develop, update, and maintain strategic profiles for key competitors to be leveraged across Enterprise Strategy Design an enterprise forum to discuss trends / present findings and brainstorm collectively in conjunction with other internal groups focused on industry and market dynamics; liaise with external consultants on specific requests as required Complete detailed ad hoc research requests from HCB Strategy team on timely topics (e.g., Virtual Care) Create a content management and storage system for internal and broader HCB access and manage access to this and other key research sites Develop feedback loop to continuously check and adjust team outputPay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:Minimum: 100,000Maximum: 227,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.Required Qualifications 5-8+ years in Management Consulting, Enterprise Strategy, Corporate Development, and / or competitive and market intelligence 5+ years' experience presenting to senior level leadership (c-suite) 3-5 years' experience conducting market and competitive research, both qualitative and quantitativelyMust have experience with: Conducting market and competitive research and analyses both qualitative and quantitatively Developing market deep dives (e.g., market maps) that are digestible and representative of multifaceted dynamics Developing a point of view with future uncertainty and a level of ambiguity and delivering that view to a senior level audience Framing clear strategic options and decisions on intricate topics Distilling complex ideas into salient points Synthesizing information in a clear, concise manner Working with multiple deliverables under tight time constraints Communicating with senior level executives Experience with new market evaluations, business model innovationsPreferred Qualifications 3-5 years Healthcare industry experience MBAEducationBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceBusiness OverviewBring your heart to CVS HealthEvery one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health.
