The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.Salary Range$116,800.00 - $192,700.00 Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? Bond & Specialty Insurance (BSI) provides management liability, professional liability, and surety to businesses of all sizes. The Distribution Strategic Initiatives team is responsible for the long-term strategy and execution of our BSI distribution network. As a Director, you will be part of a collaborative team responsible for developing and implementing complex strategic initiatives involving agency compensation, distribution, and pipeline management. Achieving successful outcomes will require agency knowledge, forward thinking, and strong BSI and Enterprise-wide partnerships.What Will You Do?

  • Lead BSI panel process including request for proposal, implementation, monitoring and reporting; collaborate with key constituents across Business Unit Partners, Product, Claim, Legal and Finance.
  • Act as key liaison to keep enterprise partners informed of BSI panel activity and other key enterprise distribution management initiatives.
  • Lead a cross functional team to review current agency compensation models and execute recommendation on changes to better incentivize production with distribution partners.
  • Create and oversee the agency governance model to promote accurate deployment of agency data into production reporting tools.
  • Drive aggregator production in conjunction with Enterprise relationship manager and BSI field management with oversight of key strategic initiatives identified and agreed upon by all parties.
  • Oversee merger and acquisition activity of distribution channels and communicate changes to Bond and SI leadership accordingly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
    • Bachelor's Degree.
    • 5+ years of experience in Surety and/or Management Liability.
    • Advanced knowledge with agency and broker distribution networks and related compensation strategies.
    • Excellent communication, consulting, and relationship building skills with the ability to present and translate complex information to leadership in relevant business terms.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to proactively bring industry best practices and external market trends to the table in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
    • Strong influencer with the ability to build consensus among a diverse group of enterprise-wide stakeholders.
    • Ability to seamlessly operate both at the strategic and operational levels.What is a Must Have?
      • 5+ years of underwriting or sales experience in the insurance industry.What Is in It for You?
