The new Lead Director will be accountable for ensuring strategic
alignment of capital requests with the enterprise business strategy
by developing and leading a through capital review, analysis and
governance process, working closely with the operational and
reporting capital planning team members also reporting to the VP of
Enterprise FP&A. The candidate will need to drive a disciplined
and rigorous review of businesses' capital requests including
conducting thorough analysis of business cases, performing
independent vetting of opportunities, validating and measuring
investment ROI, and conducting cross-enterprise investigation to
identify opportunities to combine efforts in order to achieve
economies of scale and better strategic integration of efforts. The
candidate will support the Executive Director of Capital Planning
in establishing, leading and supporting ongoing management of the
newly formed Investment Council, a governance board comprising
members of the ELT and other senior leaders within Finance who will
review and measure investment initiatives on a regular cadence
throughout the year to better determine opportunities to
accelerate, reprioritize, adjust scope, and/or dismiss initiatives.
As a result of those decisions, the Lead Director will then work to
rebalance the capital portfolio as necessary and work with Treasury
to ensure capital allocations appropriately reflect the
decision-making.
1. Collaborate with business leaders to deeply understand business
strategies and initiative-related needs in order to perform
rigorous review of capital requests. Outcome of these reviews will
ensure relevance to the enterprise strategy, effectively measure
ROI, identify opportunities to align with similar initiatives
elsewhere in the enterprise, ability to recommend capital
prioritization and influence ELT decision-making.
2. Establish the Investment Committee process and lead ongoing
support - a committee comprised of ELT and FLT members; Leadership
includes agenda setting, meeting facilitation, a setting, follow up
on key takeaways, ongoing correspondence with council and
development of reports to be shared with ELT,FLT, BOD as
appropriate and necessary.
3. Create and enhance use of accurate and actionable analytics to
suggest business leadership decision-making. Provider senior
leadership transparency and insights into portfolio.
4. Lead and develop team members, ensuring role clarity, clear
accountabilities, and the creation of a high-performing, optimal
working culture.Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 100,000
Maximum: 227,000Please keep in mind that this range represents the
pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this
position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a
wide range of factors, including location.Required
Qualifications
10+ years of related work experience in Healthcare and managed care
experience in addition to overall Finance management - budgets,
forecasts, financial analysis and analytics.Preferred
