Daytop Village is a nationally recognized comprehensive Health and

depends on those we employ.ResponsibilitiesThe RoleUnder the
general direction of the Senior Director and/or AVP or VP of
Transitional Housing, the Program Director is responsible for the
overall clinical management and administrative operations of their
assigned program(s). They are responsible for managing and
monitoring the job performance of all program employees, ensuring
high-quality clinical services for clients, maintaining the safety
and upkeep of the site, meeting established program goals, and
maintaining effective communication between program staff and
agency administration.What You Will Do
- Supervise and monitor the therapeutic environment to ensure
behavioral guidelines are followed and interpersonal relationships
remain positive.
- Monitor the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the
program's shelter services and safety of the environment of
care.
- Manage program services, improve existing services, and develop
new treatment components to meet the needs of those served.
- Assess needs and ensure program objectives are met.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and deploying agency
policies and procedures.
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to program
staff.
- Interview, hire, train, evaluate, discipline, and potentially
terminate subordinate staff.
- Oversee plant operations to ensure a safe and secure
environment of care.
- Ensure clinical staff maintains accurate, complete, and timely
records compliant with regulatory standards and agency
policies.
- Ensure all program staff uphold the agency's Code of Conduct
and comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including 42 CFR
confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
- Collaborate with other department and clinical program
directors to meet program and agency goals.
- Plan, develop, and conduct in-service training to improve staff
competencies.
- Keep Executive Management informed about program status and
prepare reports as required.
- Participate in internal Management/Quality Improvement
committees.QualificationsWho You Will Be
- Associates Degree with 15+ years of progressive experience
working with the homeless population, including 10+ years
supervising social service/human services staff in shelter,
transitional, or permanent supportive housing, and experience
working with the NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS) or
similar city-operated organizations.
- Strong leadership and effective management skills.
- Ability to implement and monitor policies and procedures in
accordance with agency guidelines.
- Knowledgeable about Federal, State, and Local laws and
regulations governing substance abuse treatment programs.
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving
skills.
