Our ability to deliver differentiated value sets us apart in the marketplace and positions us as the industry's partner of choice - highly sought out for capabilities and focus on elevating the healthcare experience for millions of people around the world. --- Evernorth Direct Health is an industry leading business providing custom care delivery and wellness services across four key business lines: Wellness Centers, Health Coaching, Wellness Events and COVID 19 solutions. This leadership position will serve as a critical driver and owner of the Evernorth Direct Health growth strategy. We are seeking an accomplished sales leader who understands the Direct Health/Employer Onsite market and has established relationships with Health Plans and Employer clients - and proven business development experience in this market.--This individual knows how to create a Growth Strategy Plan and Go to Market strategy to achieve and exceed sales goals - in addition to guiding the value proposition and key differentiation and positioning vs. competitors needed to win. This position is responsible for setting strategy, oversight and creation of effective plans to manage the to tal addressable market among market buyers: Employer Clients, Health Plans, open market sales. The leader has responsibility for partnerships/new distribution channels, go-to-market strategy collaboration with Evernorth enterprise businesses and sales and leading current team sales SMEs.--
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Reporting to the General Manager of Evernorth Direct Health, this role is responsible for the growth strategy of the business, creating the strategic plan to drive sales across the total addressable market, including cross sell/up sell of enterprise wide employer clients and health plans in the Cigna book of companies, in addition to open market sales
  • This leader will work closely with matrix partners to strengthen and drive the overall value proposition that achieves improved client and customer retention, improved competitive positioning, and increased earnings growth, while maintaining a strong brand reputation in the marketplace.
  • Collaborates across the organization including the US Commercial business and Evernorth to help drive favorable business outcomes, creating a deep collaboration across the sales enablement areas to fully support the sales strategy and growth plan targets.
  • Develop strong relationships with market and sales leadership, marketing, product, and service partners to influence sales and retention strategies.
  • Insights-driven decision making and problem solving. Researches, analyzes and monitors industry activity, demographic trends, competitive, business, and consumer insights to capitalize on market opportunities. Uses those insights, as well as data & analytics to continually refresh strategy, goals and objectives.--
  • This leader will form views around M&A opportunities; formulate business case for growth.
  • Drives the agenda and needs for the Evernorth Direct Health Insights team to fully hone and create the key value proposition metrics to deliver on the competitive advantages and differentiation levers for the business.
  • Identify ways to introduce and maintain competitive advantages for Evernorth Direct Health and for clients in the delivery of care.
  • Builds, motivates and cultivates his/her high-performing team through two to three direct reports .
  • Develops direct reports and provide opportunities to stretch skills, creating clear career paths and a succession plan.
  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable culture in the team that brings intellectual curiosity, questions "business as usual" practices and creates awareness of where a different approach/solutions from traditional care delivery is required. QUALIFICATIONS
    • BS/BA with--MBA preferred.
    • 10+ years of successfully developing sales for direct health business.
    • --Possesses a broad understanding of the direct health market and the ability to leverage knowledge and network to guide go to market strategy.
    • Must have direct sales experience and proven results in growing the client base. This experience includes business to business sales prospecting among health plans and direct employers. Must know how to build a pipeline and sales approach.
    • Must know how to collaborate and influence other sales leaders and relationship managers to understand the value of the services and create opportunities for introductions; amiable, collaborative and a door opener.
    • Solid negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade while balancing the needs of the organization and external partners.
    • Adaptable with the ability to navigate complex dynamics and ambiguity. Ability to effectively cope with multiple issues and setbacks.
    • Strong financial acumen and ability to develop effective partnerships.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate well with both internal and external teams and stakeholders.
    • Cultivates an effective team environment and culture of innovation.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
