When hospitals cannot provide the advanced care, expertise and new treatment options their patients require, they turn to us. - The Neuro-Surgical ICU is a 17 bed adult in-patient unit caring for critically ill Neurological patients. Our patients have diagnosis of stroke, head or spinal cord trauma and brain hemorrhage. These patients require a staff specialized in intra-cranial and hemo-dynamic monitoring along with the use of vaso-active medications. • Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required).
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association and proof of Arrhythmia Certification required prior to date of hire.
• Minimum one year Acute Care RN experience strongly preferred.
• In exceptional circumstances, experienced ASN/ADN nurses currently in pursuit of a BSN or MSN may be considered.
