Employment Type:Full timeShift:12 Hour Night ShiftDescription:JOB SUMMARYThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care for an assigned group of patients, and for directing and coordinating all nursing care according to established standards of practice. Uses the nursing process to assess needs, plan care, implement the plan, and evaluate the patient's responses and progress towards goals. Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, members of the healthcare team, and the patient and family to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care delivery. Contributes to the overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Appropriately delegates nursing tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation: - - - - - - - - - - - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BS in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.Licensure: - - - - - - - - - - - - Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.Certification: - - - - - BLS certification required. National certification in area of specialty preferred.Skills: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Familiarity with computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), e-mail, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
