Employment Type: Part time Shift: Night Shift Description: Center for Cardiac Recovery/Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) Unit Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center . Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for everyone that walks through our doors.Our newly renovated 32 bed unit is a nationally recognized Center Of Excellence for Heart Failure. Primary patient diagnosis on this unit is acute or chronic CHF, while we also care for patients with other cardiac conditions such as AFIB, CAD, STEMI, pacemaker, ICD placements and soon LVADs.We offer an individualized orientation program supporting both recently graduated and experienced nurses, ongoing professional development opportunities, and support for specialty certification attainment. We have 24/7 support and partnership with our inpatient CHF Medical Team and work closely with the outpatient team to ensure quality care along the health care continuum.     • Exceptional Patient Care: Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively.
    • Excellent Communicator: Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients, and family member.
    • Strong Educator: Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
    • Technical Familiarity: Understanding in computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
    • Active Teamwork: Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.Requirements:
      • Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred.
      • Licensure: Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
      • Certification: BLS (AHA/ARC).
      • Basic computer skills required.
      • Effective communication, organizational and critical thinking skills.Preferred Skills:
        • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
        • Experience: Acute care, Medical-Surgical, Congestive Heart Failure experience preferred.
