The successful Advanced Practitioner (APP) will support patient care from the point of admission to discharge in service, Step-Down, and ICU.This cardiac critical care APP will be the cornerstone of patient care, managing multiple cardiac critical care patients with varied critical illness, comprehensive physical assessments, interpretation of diagnostic results, hemodynamic/ventilator management, and invasive procedures. Extensive training and supervision are provided to the APPs for skills such as arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and removal of pacer wires.Role: Open to Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse PractitionersLocation: 79 Jefferson Street, Hartford, 06102Setting: Inpatient, cardiac/cardiothoracic ICU, critical careSchedule: Full-time, rotating.
