post open heart med surge unit offering a fast paced and dynamic
environment suitable for nurses that enjoy learning and growing.
Competencies gained in this arena include the care of specialty
patient populations including heart transplant patients,
Ventricular Assist Device patients, and the growing TAVR
population. We offer additional opportunities to grow critical
thinking skills and expand knowledge by training to our 9 bed step
down unit that provides care to a variety of medical and surgical
patients requiring higher levels of care.Our registered clinical
nurse leader's work in collaborative environments with strong
interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model
in a richly diverse work space. Under the direction and general
supervision of the Nurse Manager, the clinical nurse leader
utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State
Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as
directed by the medical staff. The clinical nurse leader who
through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a
plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the
physical, emotional spiritual, cultural and educational needs of
the patient and family. The clinical nurse leader is recognized as
professional role model and clinical expert who delegates and
supervises work appropriately reporting to Nurse
Manager.QualificationsEducation: BS degree required* OR 5 Years' RN
Experience in lieu of BS degree.*Exceptions to the educational
requirement will be evaluated on an individual basis. For example,
a strong candidate in the process of completing the educational
requirement will be considered. Continued progress toward
completion of the educational requirement within five years will be
required.Experience: Minimum one-year nursing experience.Licensure,
Certification, RegistrationCurrent RN CT License.We take great care
