applications at this timeOVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:The
Director of Health Applications performs tasks associated with
successful implementation, configuration, maintenance, support,
reporting and training of agency's Electronic Healthcare Systems
across Access: Supports for Living and its affiliates. This
position is responsible for leading and analyzing needs, developing
changes, enhancements and maintaining health applications
(primarily Netsmart MyEvolv and eVero Digital Agency) based on
organizational requirements. This position will be responsible for
data analytics and reports in the health applications. The position
requires superior communication and interpersonal skills with the
ability to respond efficiently to user requests. This position will
also support other software products and reporting requirements as
needed.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, develops
EHR project plans, including scoping, scheduling, build and
implementation across all programs.
- Successfully build, configure, develop and support clinical and
financial/ billing programs in Health Applications (EHRs)
- Partner and support finance teams on billing and rate issues in
health applications
- Develop and modify reports EHRs
- Configures and/or modifies EHR templates and application
configuration to meet agreed-upon requirements.
- Serves as lead for health application related projects
including system enhancements, upgrades, and new technology
rollout.
- Provides timely and high-quality technical support for
clinical, operations and administrative staff for incidents and
requests related to health applications
- Analyzes and addresses application functionality and data
reporting requirements of internal users and external regulatory
agencies.
- Develops and delivers training to effectively impact healthcare
systems adoption, use, and engagement amongst users. Works to
ensure uniformity in distribution of technical training among staff
performing similar functions.
- Understands and analyses clinic workflow. Recommends and leads
workflow improvements and implements standardized workflow within
the EHR and associated electronic healthcare systems.
- Supports network administrators to troubleshoot and resolve
systems issues related to the Electronic Healthcare Systems.
- Develops and maintains documentation, curriculum, user manuals
and guidelines. Promotes the importance of proper use of
applications and software systems.
- Actively participates in team-based planning for Information
Technology group, providing timely and relevant feedback on
application utilization to inform future rollouts and
implementations.
- Attend meetings and training as assigned. Ability to present
relevant topics to various workgroups.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding privileged proprietary,
administrative, technical and clinical information according to
HIPAA and quality of care standards; ensure system security to meet
data confidentiality requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Demonstrated experience leading and implementing and/or
integrating healthcare software applications preferably
Netsmart.
- Ability to generate reports from the database.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels
throughout the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze functional and technical
requirements (both clinical and financial) and translate these into
valid solutions. Knowledge of primary care clinic workflow and/or
other healthcare experience is a plus.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree plus 10 years of experience. Bachelor's degree
plus 5 years' experience preferred.
- Experience in leading Electronic Health Record software
implementation - plus if having experience using Netsmart
MyEvolv.PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Lifting and transporting light to moderately heavy objects,
such as signature pads, scanners, computers and peripherals.
- Must be able to travel to multiple program sites and vendor
locations as needed.
