Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity ICU unit. The RN will be responsible for caring for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular surgeries, including fresh open-heart cases on post-op day zero. Candidates must be confident, clinically skilled, and experienced with EPIC charting in an acute care environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients. Manage fresh open-heart cases on post-op day zero. Monitor and operate advanced life support equipment (e.g., ventilators, cardiac monitors). Administer medications and assess responses. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. Document care and interventions using EPIC EMR. Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or CTICU experience. BSN Required. Current and active New York State RN license. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA-approved). Proficiency with EPIC charting system.
