ID: 55139241 Shift: 4x9.5-765815 Description: Short : Candidate will work both at the East & South Hampton locations.240 Meeting House Ln, Southampton, NY 11968Position: Radiology CT W/X-ray TechHousing available if needed HS DiplomaARRT/NYSDOH Lic.BLS AHA Complete Description:We are lookingto fill an immediate need for a dual modality CT/X-ray technologist to cover a37.5-hour weekly schedule. The role includes three 9.5-hour shifts and one9-hour shift per week. Coverage will include: Two weekendshifts Two floatingweekday shifts A mix of eveningand night hours, so flexibility is essential This positionwill provide support at both the Easthampton Emergency Site and SouthamptonHospital.CAT SCAN TECHMaintain and exhibit behavior that promotespatient confidence and trust. Capable of working independently/unsupervised.Demonstrate proficiency in the performance of Cat Scan Imaging Exams.Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of pediatric immobilizationdevices adhering to safety precautions. Maintain and exhibit behavior thatpromotes patient confidence and trust. Must produce computerized tomographicscanner Radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directedaccording to established policies and procedures. Must prepare or enter writtendocumentation as required by the department such as informed patient consent,patient chart documentation, and other related duties. Must observe sterile andaseptic techniques when necessary. Check equipment, supplies and accessories ona regular basis. Asses the physical needs of the adult and geriatric patients.Demonstrate the ability to recognize and ally patients' fears and apprehensionsabout exams. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Completerequested examinations in a timely manner, observing radiation safetystandards. Address the special needs of each age group served and assist inmaking reasonable accommodations for the hearing impaired, physicallychallenged or any other patients who may enter the Hospital. Observe Bio-Safetyand Radiation safety rules and regulations. Responsibilities and duties may beadded, changed or deleted at any time at the discretion of the AssistantDirector of Radiology and Director of Radiology either verbally or in writing.Performs related duties in PACS. Responsible for knowing and adhering toestablished hospital/department policies and procedures, including all aspectsof safety. Must complete requested examinations in a timely manner, observingradiation safety standards. Must be computer literate. Must select and operateequipment as directed. Must be aware and able to prevent Sentinel Events.RADIOLOGY TECHDemonstrate proficiency in the performance ofall diagnostic and fluoroscopic examinations and equipment. Demonstrateproficiency in the use and application of pediatric immobilization devices adheringto safety precautions. Must prepare or enter written documentation as requiredby the Department, such as informed patient consent, patient chartdocumentation, and other related duties. Perform portable and operating roomexaminations in a timely and professional manner, must observe sterile andaseptic techniques when necessary. Check equipment, supplies and accessories ona regular basis. Assess the physical needs of the adult and geriatric patients.Demonstrate the ability to recognize and ally patients' fears and apprehensionsabout exams.
