Job Description MedHQ Staffing Solutions is seeking a local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a local contract nursing job in East Setauket, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/07/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Schedule: Days, Flexible typically 8 hours Monday-Friday, no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call Licensure: NY State RN License, required Experience Required and Preferred: - Registered RN with a minimum of 1 years OR experience, required BLS, and ACLS (AHA), required. - Knowledge of specialty services preferred: Orthopedic, Spine and Pain Management, preferred - Operating Rooms: 4 of surgeries per month: 250-300 - Job Summary: The role of the Nurse in an operating room provides leadership, guidance, supervision, and support to the Surgical Services team, as well as direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on applying scientific nursing principles as needed. The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients in compliance with, but not limited to, recognized Standards of Practice and State Practice Act Standards, as well as organization protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Supervises and directs patient care in a single operating room.
